Deviled Egg Macaroni Salad


Ingredients You’ll Need

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni (or your favorite small pasta shape)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for color and freshness)
 

For the Deviled Egg Flavor:

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs , peeled
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish (optional, for tanginess)
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar (or lemon juice)
 

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1/2 cup diced celery (for crunch)
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion (for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for richness)
 

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain the pasta and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool completely.
 

Step 2: Prepare the Hard-Boiled Eggs

  1. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks.
  2. Place the egg yolks in a mixing bowl and mash them with a fork.
  3. Stir in the pickle relish white vinegar , and a pinch of salt and pepper . Set aside.
 

Step 3: Make the Dressing

  1. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise Dijon mustard yellow mustard Worcestershire sauce smoked paprika garlic powder , and salt and pepper until smooth.
  2. Fold in the mashed egg yolks and mix well to combine.
 

Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Add the cooled macaroni to the dressing mixture and toss gently to coat evenly.
  2. Stir in the chopped parsley celery , and red onion (if using).
  3. If desired, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese for extra richness.
 

Step 5: Chill and Serve

  1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  2. Garnish with additional parsley or sliced hard-boiled egg whites for presentation.
  3. Serve chilled or at room temperature, and watch it disappear!
