1 cup fresh spinach , finely chopped (or frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
1/2 cup ricotta cheese (or cream cheese for extra richness)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic , minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
For the Crescent Rolls:
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or crescent sheet for easier handling)
Optional Garnish:
Fresh parsley , chopped
Everything bagel seasoning (for sprinkling before baking)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Step 2: Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well blended.
Step 3: Assemble the Rolls
Unroll the crescent dough on a flat surface. If using crescent triangles, pinch together the perforations to form one continuous sheet.
Cut the dough into 8 equal rectangles (or leave as triangles if preferred).
Spoon about 1–2 tablespoons of the spinach mixture onto one end of each rectangle or triangle. Fold the dough over the filling and roll it up tightly, sealing the edges by pinching them together.
Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1–2 inches apart.
Step 4: Add Toppings (Optional)
Brush the tops of the rolls lightly with olive oil or melted butter for extra shine.
Sprinkle with Everything bagel seasoning or a pinch of Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
Step 5: Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes , or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and flaky.
Step 6: Serve
Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
