Strawberry Cream Cheese Dessert Balls

Ingredients

Filling

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 8–10 fresh strawberries (hulled)

Coating

  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or biscuit crumbs

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

Strawberry Sauce

  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water

For Frying

  • Vegetable oil

Garnish

  • Fresh strawberries

  • Mint leaves (optional)


Instructions

1. Prepare the Cream Filling

  1. In a bowl mix:

  • cream cheese

  • powdered sugar

  • vanilla extract

  1. Stir until smooth and creamy.


2. Wrap the Strawberries

  1. Take a spoonful of cream cheese mixture.

  2. Wrap it around a whole strawberry.

  3. Roll gently into a ball shape.

  4. Freeze for 20–30 minutes so they hold their shape.


3. Coat the Balls

Prepare three bowls:

1️⃣ Flour
2️⃣ Beaten eggs
3️⃣ Breadcrumb + crushed graham crackers

Roll each ball in:
flour → egg → breadcrumbs

For extra crunch you can repeat egg → crumbs again.


4. Fry

  1. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Fry balls 2–3 minutes until golden brown.

  3. Remove and place on paper towels.


5. Make Strawberry Sauce

  1. Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan.

  2. Cook until berries soften.

  3. Add cornstarch slurry.

  4. Simmer until thick and glossy.


6. Serve

  1. Place warm dessert balls on a plate.

  2. Drizzle with strawberry sauce.

  3. Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint.
