Blueberry Cream Cheese Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
Dough

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
-
¼ cup granulated sugar
-
1 tsp salt
-
¾ cup warm milk
-
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
1 large egg
Blueberry Filling
-
1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries
-
¼ cup sugar
-
1 tbsp cornstarch
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Filling
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
¼ cup sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Frosting
-
4 oz cream cheese, softened
-
2 tbsp butter, softened
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1–2 tbsp milk (optional)
Topping
-
Fresh blueberries
-
Powdered sugar
-
Almond flakes (optional)
Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough
-
In a bowl combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
-
Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
-
Add:
-
melted butter
-
egg
-
salt
-
Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
-
Knead dough 8–10 minutes until smooth.
-
Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
2. Make the Blueberry Filling
-
In a saucepan combine:
-
blueberries
-
sugar
-
lemon juice
-
Cook over medium heat.
-
Mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water, add to mixture.

Cook until thick and jam-like.
-
Let cool completely.
3. Make Cream Cheese Filling
Mix together:

cream cheese
-
sugar
-
vanilla
Until smooth.
4. Assemble the Rolls
-
Roll dough into a large rectangle (about 10x14 inches).

Spread cream cheese filling over the dough.
-
Add the blueberry jam layer.
-
Roll the dough tightly into a log.
-
Cut into 8–10 rolls.
-
Place in a greased baking dish.
-
Cover and let rise 30 minutes.
5. Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
6. Make Frosting
Beat together:

cream cheese
-
butter
-
powdered sugar
-
vanilla
Add milk if needed for smoother texture.
7. Decorate
-
Spread frosting over warm rolls.

Top with:
-
fresh blueberries
-
blueberry syrup
-
powdered sugar
-
almond flakes.
