Ingredients
For the Burger Patties

500 g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 fat ratio recommended)

1 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp black pepper
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/2 tsp onion powder
For the Burger Assembly
-
2 brioche burger buns
-
4 slices cheddar cheese
-
1 large tomato, sliced
-
4 lettuce leaves
-
6–8 pickle slices
-
1 small onion, thinly sliced
-
1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
For the Special Burger Sauce
-
3 tbsp mayonnaise
-
1 tbsp ketchup
-
1 tsp mustard
-
1 tsp pickle relish
-
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and refrigerate until ready to use.
Instructions

1. Make the Caramelized Onions

Heat a skillet over medium heat.
-
Add 1 tbsp butter or oil.
-
Add sliced onions and cook slowly for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Cook until the onions become soft, golden brown, and sweet.

Set aside.
2. Prepare the Burger Patties

Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
-
Shape them into thin burger patties slightly larger than the bun.

Season both sides with:

salt
-
black pepper
-
garlic powder
-
onion powder.
-
3. Cook the Burgers
-
Heat a cast iron skillet or grill over medium-high heat.

Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side.
-
Place cheddar cheese slices on each patty during the last minute so it melts.
4. Toast the Buns
Spread butter lightly on the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast them in a pan until golden and crisp.
5. Assemble the Burger
Layer the ingredients in this order:

Bottom bun

Special burger sauce

Lettuce
-
Tomato slices
-
First cheeseburger patty
-
Second cheeseburger patty
-
Caramelized onions
-
Pickle slices
-
Extra sauce

Top bun
