🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2)

For the Steak

  • 300–350 g steak (sirloin, ribeye, or strip steak)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary (optional)


For the Shrimp

  • 250 g shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


For the Vegetables

  • 1 cup broccoli florets

  • 1/2 cup snap peas or green beans

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickness)


Garnish (Optional)

  • Sesame seeds

  • Chopped green onions

  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or parsley)

Hibachi Style Garlic Steak and Shrimp

Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vinegar (or lime juice), sesame oil, and cornstarch mixture if using.
Set aside.


Step 2: Cook the Steak

Pat the steak dry and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a hot skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for desired doneness).
Add rosemary during cooking if desired.
Remove from heat, rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thick pieces.


Step 3: Cook the Shrimp

In the same pan (or a separate pan), heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and lightly caramelized.
Remove and set aside.


Step 4: Stir-Fry the Vegetables

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add broccoli, snap peas, and bell peppers.
Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Season with salt and pepper.


Step 5: Assemble the Bowl

Arrange sliced steak, garlic shrimp, and vegetables in a serving bowl.
Pour the sauce into a small bowl for dipping or drizzle lightly over the dish.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
