Steak & Garlic Shrimp Pasta with Spinach and Peppers

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

For the Pasta

  • 250 g spaghetti or linguine

  • Salt (for pasta water)


For the Steak

  • 300 g beef steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin), cut into cubes

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


For the Shrimp

  • 250 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


For the Vegetables & Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 cups fresh spinach

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water

  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)


Garnish (Optional)

  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped

  • Grated Parmesan cheese


👨‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.


Step 2: Cook the Steak

Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a hot skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned on the outside and cooked to desired doneness.
Remove from pan and set aside.


Step 3: Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 20–30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Remove shrimp and set aside with the steak.


Step 4: Sauté Vegetables

Add olive oil to the skillet if needed.
Add sliced bell peppers and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
Add spinach and cook until wilted.


Step 5: Combine Everything

Lower heat to medium.
Add butter and garlic to the pan, stirring briefly.
Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water, tossing to coat.
Return steak and shrimp to the pan.
Sprinkle with chili flakes if using and toss gently for 1–2 minutes until well combined and heated through.


Step 6: Serve

Transfer to serving plates.
Garnish with fresh herbs and grated Parmesan if desired.
Serve immediately while hot.
