
Creamy Chicken Orzo Delight

A comforting one-pan meal with tender chicken, creamy orzo, and fresh vegetables.

📝 Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup orzo pasta

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth
-
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

👩🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the chicken
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook for 4–5 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
2. Sauté the garlic
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
3. Cook the orzo
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the orzo pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 8–10 minutes until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
4. Make it creamy
Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
5. Add vegetables and chicken
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cherry tomatoes and spinach, stirring gently until the spinach wilts and everything is evenly coated in the sauce.
6. Adjust seasoning and serve
Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed. Let the dish simmer for 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat.
