Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 500g beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • ยฝ tsp black pepper

For the Stir-Fry

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp pineapple juice

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • ยฝ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • Fresh rosemary or parsley

  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

  1. In a bowl, combine beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper.

  2. Let marinate for 15โ€“20 minutes.

Step 2: Sear the Beef

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat.

  2. Sear beef for 3โ€“4 minutes until browned on all sides.

  3. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Pineapple

  1. In the same pan, add pineapple chunks.

  2. Cook for 2โ€“3 minutes until lightly caramelized.

  3. Add onion and garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant.

Step 4: Make the Sauce

  1. Mix soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, pineapple juice, sesame oil, and chili flakes.

  2. Pour into the pan and stir.

Step 5: Combine

  1. Return beef to the skillet.

  2. Toss everything together for 2โ€“3 minutes until coated and glossy.

  3. Remove from heat.
