Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 large chicken breasts

  • 250g mushrooms, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

For the Filling

  • 200g mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 100g cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Optional Cream Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ยฝ cup parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet.

  2. Sautรฉ mushrooms until golden and moisture evaporates.

  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Remove from heat and mix with mozzarella, cream cheese, and parsley.

Step 2: Stuff the Chicken

  1. Slice a pocket into each chicken breast.

  2. Season inside and outside with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

  3. Fill generously with the mushroom-cheese mixture.

  4. Secure with toothpicks if needed.

Step 3: Sear

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Sear chicken for 3โ€“4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Step 4: Bake

  • Preheat oven to 190ยฐC (375ยฐF).

  • Transfer chicken to a baking dish.

  • Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 74ยฐC (165ยฐF).

Step 5: Make the Sauce (Optional)

  1. Simmer heavy cream in a pan.

  2. Add parmesan and garlic powder.

  3. Stir until smooth and creamy.

  4. Spoon over the chicken before serving.
