Ingredients
Main Ingredients

500g squid (calamari), cleaned and sliced into rings

1 ear sweet corn, cut into chunks

1 medium onion, sliced
-
2 stalks celery, cut into pieces
-
1 red chili, sliced
-
2 green onions, chopped
Sauce
-
2 tbsp vegetable oil
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp tomato paste
-
1 tbsp chili paste (sambal or gochujang)
-
1 tbsp oyster sauce
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp sugar
-
Β½ cup seafood stock or water
-
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Squid

Wash and pat dry the squid.

Slice into rings if not already prepared.

Lightly season with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Cook the Corn

Boil corn pieces for 5 minutes.
-
Drain and set aside.
Step 3: Build the Sauce
-
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok.
-
SautΓ© garlic until fragrant.
-
Add tomato paste and chili paste.
-
Stir for 1 minute until aromatic.
Step 4: Stir-Fry

Add onions and celery.
-
Cook for 2β3 minutes.

Add squid and corn.
-
Pour in oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and stock.

Stir-fry for 3β4 minutes until squid is just cooked.
Step 5: Finish

Add sliced chili and green onions.

Toss everything together.

Remove from heat immediately to keep squid tender.
