Ingredients
For the Filling
- 500g ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- ยฝ tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly
- 8 flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 200g cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley or cilantro
For the Sauce
- 1 cup enchilada sauce or salsa
- ยฝ cup sour cream
- ยฝ cup milk
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Beef
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Sautรฉ onion until translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Season with paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the Cheese Mixture
- In a bowl, combine:
- Cream cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella
- ยฝ cup cheddar
- Mix until smooth.
Step 3: Fill and Roll
- Spread cheese mixture on each tortilla.
- Add a layer of seasoned beef.
- Roll tightly into burrito-style logs.
- Arrange seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
Step 4: Add Sauce & Cheese
- Mix enchilada sauce, sour cream, and milk.
- Pour evenly over the rolls.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and cheddar on top.
Step 5: Bake
- Oven temperature: 190ยฐC (375ยฐF)
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes
- Broil for 2โ3 minutes for a golden cheesy crust.
