Patriotic Berry Pretzel Salad

A festive, sweet-salty summer dessert layered with crunchy pretzels, creamy filling, and juicy berries.


📌 Ingredients

🔻 For the Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted

🔻 For the Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 8 oz whipped topping, thawed (e.g., Cool Whip)

🔻 For the Berry Layer:

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 2 packages (3 oz each) strawberry gelatin

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries


🧁 Directions

✅ Step 1: Make the Crust

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a medium bowl, mix crushed pretzels, ½ cup sugar, and melted butter until fully combined.

  • Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  • Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.


✅ Step 2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer

  • In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth.

  • Gently fold in the whipped topping until well blended.

  • Spread the cream mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.


✅ Step 3: Make the Berry Layer

  • In a bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Let cool slightly.

  • Fold in strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

  • Pour berry mixture gently over the cream cheese layer.


✅ Step 4: Chill & Serve

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.

  • Slice into squares and serve chilled for a patriotic delight!


💡 Tips:

  • For cleaner slices, use a sharp knife dipped in warm water.

  • You can arrange the berries into a flag design for extra patriotic flair!
