Delicious Sweet Bread ๐Ÿž

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 300 ml warm milk ๐Ÿฅ›

  • 100 g sugar ๐Ÿง‚

  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast ๐Ÿž

  • 80 g melted butter ๐Ÿงˆ

  • 1 egg ๐Ÿฅš

  • 600 g wheat flour ๐ŸŒพ

  • 1 teaspoon salt ๐Ÿง‚

For the filling:

  • 250 g sugar ๐Ÿฌ

  • 100 g melted butter ๐Ÿงˆ

For decoration:

  • ½ cup hot milk ๐Ÿฅ›

  • Grated coconut to taste ๐Ÿฅฅ

  1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, yeast, melted butter, and egg. Whisk for a minute.

  2. Incorporate the flour: Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing and kneading until a smooth and elastic dough forms.

  3. First rise: Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place until it doubles in size.

  4. Prepare the filling: In a separate bowl, mix the 250 g of sugar with the 100 g of melted butter until a creamy paste forms. Set aside.

  5. Roll out the dough: Divide the dough into two parts and roll each one out with a rolling pin.

  6. Add the filling: Spread the butter and sugar mixture over each rolled-out dough piece, then roll them up tightly.

  7. Shape the bread: Cut each roll into 6 portions and place them on a greased baking tray. Repeat with the other half of the dough.

  8. Second rise: Let the rolls rest until they double in size again.

  9. Bake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. Final touch: While still warm, pour ½ cup of hot milk over the bread and sprinkle with grated coconut.
