Ingredients

For the Bread Bowl

  • 2 round artisan bread loaves

  • 12–16 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Cheese Filling

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley

  • Extra black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Slice the tops off the bread loaves and carefully hollow out the centers.

  3. Brush the inside lightly with olive oil and toast for 5–7 minutes.

  4. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then sauté in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side. Set aside.

  5. Melt butter in a saucepan and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  6. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.

  7. Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth.

  8. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.

  9. Pour the cheese sauce into the bread bowls.

  10. Arrange shrimp on top and bake for 8–10 minutes until bubbling.

  11. Garnish with parsley and freshly cracked black pepper.
