Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 500 g boneless chicken breast, diced

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Vegetables

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced

  • 3 green onions, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Optional Garnish

  • Sesame seeds

  • Extra green onions

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  1. Combine chicken, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper.

  2. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  1. In a bowl, whisk together:

    • Soy sauce

    • Oyster sauce

    • Honey

    • Sesame oil

    • Rice vinegar

    • Chicken broth

    • Cornstarch

  2. Set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet.

  2. Add chicken pieces.

  3. Stir-fry for 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through.

  4. Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Cook the Vegetables

  1. In the same pan add a little more oil if needed.

  2. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.

  3. Add broccoli and bell peppers.

  4. Stir-fry 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.

Step 5: Combine

  1. Return chicken to the skillet.

  2. Pour in the sauce.

  3. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.

  4. Add green onions and toss.

Step 6: Serve

Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice.
