Mushroom & Cheese Omelette ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿง€


A creamy, protein-packed breakfast that brings together sautéed mushrooms and melted cheese in every fluffy bite!


๐Ÿ›’ Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs

  • ¼ cup mushrooms (sliced) ๐Ÿ„

  • ¼ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite) ๐Ÿง€

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp milk (optional – for fluffier eggs)

  • ¼ tsp salt ๐Ÿง‚

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp dried thyme (optional, for extra flavor)


๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿณ Instructions:

  1. Prep the Eggs:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (if using), salt, pepper, and thyme. Set aside.

  2. Sauté the Mushrooms:

    • In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt half the butter.

    • Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 2–3 minutes until they’re tender and lightly browned.

    • Remove mushrooms and set aside.

  3. Cook the Omelette:

    • In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter.

    • Pour in the egg mixture, swirling the pan to spread it evenly.

    • Let it cook undisturbed for about 1 minute until the edges start to set.

  4. Add Fillings:

    • Sprinkle the mushrooms and shredded cheese over one half of the omelette.

    • Cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 1–2 minutes, until the cheese melts and the omelette is fully set.

  5. Fold & Serve:

    • Gently fold the omelette in half and slide it onto a plate.

    • Serve immediately with toast, avocado, or fresh greens if desired!
