Heavenly Chicken and Mushroom Pasta with a Silky Cream Sauce

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine work great)

  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.

  • Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Chicken:

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat.

  • Add the sliced chicken breasts and cook for 7–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

3. Sauté the Mushrooms and Garlic:

  • Let it reduce by half (about 3–4 minutes).

  • Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese.

  • Cook for an additional 2 minutes, until the sauce becomes creamy and slightly thickened.

5. Combine Everything:

  • Return the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet.

  • Toss everything together until the chicken and pasta are fully coated with the sauce.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve:

  • Serve hot and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
