Healthy Oatmeal Cake

Servings: 6–8 slices


๐Ÿ“ Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas ๐ŸŒ

  • 1 red apple, peeled and chopped ๐ŸŽ

  • 1 cup (100 g) rolled oats

  • 2 eggs ๐Ÿฅš

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk or plant-based milk ๐Ÿฅ›

  • 1 tablespoon honey or sweetener (optional) ๐Ÿฏ

  • A handful of raisins, chopped nuts, or chocolate chips (optional) ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŒฐ

1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease or line a cake pan with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Batter:

  • In a blender or food processor, add:

    • the bananas, chopped apple, oats, eggs, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, and honey.

  • Blend everything until smooth. It should be a thick, pourable batter.

3. Add Extras:

  • If you're adding raisins, nuts, or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter using a spoon or spatula.

4. Bake:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Let it cool before removing from the pan.

  • You can substitute apple with pear or carrot for a twist.

  • Store in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze slices for quick snacks.
