๐ŸŒ Foolproof Baked Banana Cake


Soft, moist, and full of banana flavor with a chocolatey twist—perfect for breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe bananas

  • 40g sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg

  • 60ml vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)

  • 110ml sweetened milk

  • 220g all-purpose flour

  • 30g cocoa powder or Milo

  • 10g baking soda


Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:

  • Set your oven to 170°C (340°F) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mash the bananas:

  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

3. Add wet ingredients:

  • Add the sugar, salt, egg, oil, and sweetened milk to the mashed bananas.

  • Mix well until fully combined.

4. Mix the dry ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder (or Milo), and baking soda.

5. Combine wet and dry:

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture.

  • Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.

6. Bake the cake:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

  • Tap the pan lightly to remove air bubbles.

7. Bake:

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Cool and serve:

  • Let the banana cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

  • Slice and enjoy warm or chilled!
