📝 Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • ½ lb spicy sausage (Andouille or similar), sliced

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 bell pepper, diced (any color)

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced sausage. Cook for 4–5 minutes until browned and slightly crispy. Remove from the skillet

and set aside.

3. Sauté the vegetables

In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the diced onion and bell pepper and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook

for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Cook the shrimp

Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

Remove shrimp and set aside.

5. Make the creamy sauce

Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir gently, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until

the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

6. Combine everything

Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss until everything is evenly coated in the sauce. Simmer for 2–3

minutes to let the flavors meld.

7. Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.

 Tips & Variations

  • Add extra Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes for more heat

  • Substitute chicken or smoked turkey sausage if preferred

  • A splash of pasta water can loosen the sauce if needed
