Classic Moist Banana Bread
Ingredients (1 loaf – 9x5 inch pan)

3 ripe bananas, mashed

½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
-
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
-
2 large eggs
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
-
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Optional Topping:
-
1 banana, sliced
-
Extra walnuts
Instructions

Step 1: Preheat
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease or line a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth.

Add melted butter and mix well.

Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Step 3: Mix Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture.

Stir just until combined (do not overmix).
-
Fold in walnuts if using.
Step 4: Bake

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

Top with banana slices and walnuts.

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 5: Cool
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Tips for Extra Moist Banana Bread

Use very ripe bananas (dark spots are best).
-
Replace half the butter with vegetable oil for extra moisture.

Add 2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt for softer texture.
