A quick and delicious stir-fry that’s perfect for a flavorful dinner!


Ingredients:

  • 500 g beef steak, thinly sliced into strips

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into strips (optional)

  • 1 large onion, sliced into strips

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (optional)

  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sauce:
    In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce (if using), sugar, pepper, and grated ginger. Set aside.

  2. Stir-Fry the Beef:

    • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

    • Add the beef strips and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned.

    • Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

  3. Cook the Veggies:

    • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil.

    • Sauté the garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.

  4. Combine Everything:

    • Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables.

    • Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well to coat everything.

    • Add the beef broth or water and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  5. Thicken the Sauce:

    • Stir in the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch + water) and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

    • Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
