Description
This creamy shrimp lasagna features layers of tender lasagna noodles, juicy shrimp, rich ricotta filling, and a silky garlic Parmesan white sauce. Baked until bubbly and golden on top, it’s a comforting seafood twist on classic lasagna.
Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
For the Shrimp

500 g (1 lb) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon paprika
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
For the White Sauce
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
3 cups (720 ml) whole milk
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
For the Ricotta Layer
-
1½ cups ricotta cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 egg
-
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For Assembly
-
9–12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
-
Extra mozzarella and Parmesan for topping
-
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Shrimp
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
-
Season shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
-
Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side, just until pink.
-
Remove from heat and set aside (do not overcook).
Step 2: Make the White Sauce
-
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
-
Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute (do not brown).
-
Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
-
Add minced garlic and simmer for 4–5 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
-
Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
-
Remove from heat once sauce is creamy and smooth.
Step 3: Prepare the Ricotta Mixture

In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.

Mix until well blended.
Step 4: Assemble the Lasagna

Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.

Spread a thin layer of white sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
-
Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
-
Spread ricotta mixture over noodles.
-
Add shrimp evenly, then drizzle with white sauce.
-
Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
-
Finish with white sauce and top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
Step 5: Bake

Cover loosely with foil.
-
Bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving

Garnish with chopped parsley.

Serve warm with salad or garlic bread.
