
Garlic Shrimp with Broccoli
Ingredients (Serves 2)

300 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups broccoli florets

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

½ teaspoon paprika or chili flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon soy sauce or oyster sauce (optional, for extra umami)

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions

Prepare the Broccoli
Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Blanch the broccoli for 2–3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
Drain well and set aside. -
Season the Shrimp
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika or chili flakes if using. -
Cook the Shrimp
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden.
Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside. -
Sauté the Garlic
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant (do not burn). -
Combine Everything
Add the broccoli to the pan and toss to coat with the garlic oil.
Return the shrimp to the skillet, add soy sauce or oyster sauce if using, and toss gently for 1–2 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through. -
Finish & Serve
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and lemon juice if desired.
Serve hot.
