Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Lobster Filling

  • 500 g cooked lobster meat, chopped into bite-sized pieces

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped chives

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped celery

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Rolls

  • 4 brioche or split-top hot dog buns

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • Extra chives for garnish

  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, combine the lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, celery, and chives.

  2. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. Gently toss until evenly coated.

  4. Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.

Step 2: Toast the Buns

  1. Brush the outside of the buns with melted butter.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  3. Toast the buns for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

Step 3: Assemble

  1. Fill each toasted bun generously with the chilled lobster mixture.

  2. Sprinkle with fresh chives.

  3. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Tips

  • Use fresh lobster whenever possible for the best flavor.

  • Add a small amount of celery for crunch without overpowering the lobster.

  • For a richer version, mix a little melted butter into the lobster filling.

  • Serve with potato chips, fries, or a fresh green salad.
