Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170 g each)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Creamy Garlic Dijon Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • Fresh dill

  • Green onions, sliced

Instructions

Step 1: Season the Salmon

  1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.

  2. Season both sides with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 2: Sear the Salmon

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Place salmon skin-side down (if using skin-on).

  3. Cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

  4. Remove salmon and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

  3. Pour in heavy cream and whisk gently.

  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, dill, parsley, and red pepper flakes.

  5. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 4: Finish the Dish

  1. Return the salmon to the skillet.

  2. Spoon sauce over the fillets.

  3. Simmer for 1–2 minutes to warm through.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Transfer salmon to serving plates.

  2. Drizzle generously with the creamy garlic Dijon sauce.

  3. Garnish with fresh dill and green onions.
