Creamy Garlic Butter Steak & Shrimp

Ingredients
Steak & Shrimp

2 beef steaks (ribeye or filet mignon, 2–3 cm thick)
-
250 g large shrimp, peeled & deveined
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
-
1 tsp paprika
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Creamy Garlic Sauce
-
1 tbsp butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
-
Salt & pepper to taste
-
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions

1. Prepare the steak
-
Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt, pepper and paprika.
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
-
Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare) or to desired doneness.

Add butter and garlic, baste the steaks for 1 minute.
-
Remove and let rest.
2. Cook the shrimp
-
In the same pan, add a little butter if needed.
-
Add shrimp, season lightly with salt & pepper.
-
Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden.
-
Remove and set aside.
3. Make creamy garlic sauce
-
Melt butter in the pan.
-
Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
-
Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently.
-
Stir in Parmesan and Dijon mustard until smooth.
-
Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
4. Assemble the dish
-
Place steak on a plate.
-
Spoon creamy sauce over the steak.
-
Top with shrimp and sprinkle with parsley.
Tips
-
Use filet mignon for a more tender version.
-
Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for extra flavor.
