Creamy Garlic Butter Steak & Shrimp

Ingredients

Steak & Shrimp

  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye or filet mignon, 2–3 cm thick)

  • 250 g large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)

1. Prepare the steak

  1. Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt, pepper and paprika.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.

  3. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare) or to desired doneness.

  4. Add butter and garlic, baste the steaks for 1 minute.

  5. Remove and let rest.

2. Cook the shrimp

  1. In the same pan, add a little butter if needed.

  2. Add shrimp, season lightly with salt & pepper.

  3. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden.

  4. Remove and set aside.

3. Make creamy garlic sauce

  1. Melt butter in the pan.

  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently.

  4. Stir in Parmesan and Dijon mustard until smooth.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

4. Assemble the dish

  1. Place steak on a plate.

  2. Spoon creamy sauce over the steak.

  3. Top with shrimp and sprinkle with parsley.


Tips

  • Use filet mignon for a more tender version.

  • Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for extra flavor.
