Caprese Garlic Bread Bites

Ingredients
Bread Base
-
1 baguette, sliced into 2–3 cm thick rounds
-
3 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp butter, melted
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp black pepper
Toppings
-
200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced
-
2–3 fresh tomatoes, sliced (or cherry tomatoes)
-
1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning
-
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Finishing
-
Fresh basil leaves
-
Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions

1. Prepare the garlic bread
-
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
-
Mix olive oil, melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.
-
Arrange baguette slices on a baking tray and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
2. First bake
-
Bake the bread for 6–8 minutes until lightly golden and crispy.
3. Add toppings
-
Place a slice of mozzarella on each toasted bread piece.
-
Add tomato slices on top of the cheese.
-
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan.
4. Second bake
-
Return to oven and bake 6–8 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
5. Finish & serve
-
Remove from oven and top with fresh basil leaves.

Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze.

Serve warm.
Tips
-
Use buffalo mozzarella for extra creaminess.

Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy version.
-
Perfect as appetizer, party snack, or brunch bite.
