Caprese Garlic Bread Bites

12–14 bites


Ingredients

Bread Base

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 2–3 cm thick rounds

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Toppings

  • 200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced

  • 2–3 fresh tomatoes, sliced (or cherry tomatoes)

  • 1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Finishing

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling


Instructions

1. Prepare the garlic bread

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. Mix olive oil, melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  3. Arrange baguette slices on a baking tray and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.

2. First bake

  1. Bake the bread for 6–8 minutes until lightly golden and crispy.

3. Add toppings

  1. Place a slice of mozzarella on each toasted bread piece.

  2. Add tomato slices on top of the cheese.

  3. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan.

4. Second bake

  1. Return to oven and bake 6–8 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.

5. Finish & serve

  1. Remove from oven and top with fresh basil leaves.

  2. Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze.

  3. Serve warm.


Tips

  • Use buffalo mozzarella for extra creaminess.

  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy version.

  • Perfect as appetizer, party snack, or brunch bite.
