Mini Tiramisu Truffle Cakes

Ingredients

Chocolate Cake Center

  • 120 g chocolate sponge cake (or chocolate cake crumbs)

  • 2 tbsp espresso or strong coffee

  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)


Mascarpone Cream

  • 200 g mascarpone cheese

  • 200 ml heavy cream

  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Base

  • Small ladyfinger biscuits (or sponge cake discs)


Finish

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder


Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake Filling

  1. Crumble the chocolate cake into a bowl.

  2. Add espresso and liqueur.

  3. Mix until slightly moist and moldable.


2. Shape the Centers

  1. Roll the cake mixture into small balls (about 3–4 cm).

  2. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.


3. Make the Mascarpone Cream

  1. Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  2. In another bowl mix mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla.

  3. Fold whipped cream gently into mascarpone.


4. Assemble

  1. Place a ladyfinger biscuit on a plate.

  2. Put a chocolate cake ball on top.

  3. Cover completely with mascarpone cream to form a dome.


5. Chill

Refrigerate for 1–2 hours so the cream sets.


6. Finish

Dust generously with cocoa powder before serving.


Result:
A creamy dessert with coffee-soaked chocolate center, mascarpone mousse, and cocoa topping — a bite-size version of classic tiramisu.
