Beef and Radish Soup
Ingredients

500 g beef short ribs or beef chuck, cut into chunks

1 large daikon radish, peeled and cut into cubes
-
6 cups water or beef broth
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 small onion, sliced
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp fish sauce (optional)
-
½ tsp black pepper
Garnish
-
2 green onions, chopped
-
1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions

1. Prepare the Beef
-
Place beef in a pot and cover with water.
-
Bring to a boil for 5 minutes, then discard the water.
-
Rinse the beef to remove impurities.
2. Simmer the Soup
-
Add beef back to the pot with 6 cups fresh water or broth.
-
Add garlic and onion.
-
Simmer for 40–50 minutes until the beef becomes tender.
3. Add Radish
-
Add daikon radish cubes to the soup.
-
Cook for another 20 minutes until the radish becomes soft and translucent.
4. Season
Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
5. Finish
Drizzle sesame oil and garnish with green onions.
