Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissants

Ingredients

Croissants

  • 4 large croissants (store-bought or homemade)


Cookie Dough Filling

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips


Chocolate Drizzle

  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

  • 1 tbsp heavy cream


Optional Topping

  • Extra mini chocolate chips

  • Sea salt flakes

1. Prepare the Cookie Dough

  1. In a bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

  2. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  3. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.


2. Prepare the Croissants

  1. Slice each croissant horizontally (not fully through).

  2. Fill generously with cookie dough mixture.


3. Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

  2. Place croissants on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  3. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cookie dough is set and the croissants are crispy.


4. Make Chocolate Drizzle

  1. Melt dark chocolate chips with heavy cream in the microwave or over a double boiler.

  2. Stir until smooth.


5. Finish & Serve

  1. Drizzle melted chocolate over the warm croissants.

  2. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and sea salt flakes.


Result:

  • Buttery flaky croissant layers

  • Warm gooey chocolate chip cookie center

  • Rich melted chocolate topping
