Ingredients

300 g ground pork or ground chicken

1 cup cabbage, finely shredded

1/2 cup carrot, finely julienned or grated

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon oyster sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon sugar
-
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Wrapping
-
15–18 spring roll wrappers (egg roll wrappers)

1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
For Frying
-
Vegetable oil, enough for deep frying
Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, cabbage, carrot, onion, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, black pepper, sugar, and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
Step 2: Assemble the Spring Rolls
Place one wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Spoon about 1–2 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner.
Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly upward and seal the edge with beaten egg. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
Step 3: Heat the Oil
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium heat (about 170–175°C / 340–350°F).
Step 4: Fry the Spring Rolls
Carefully add the spring rolls in batches. Fry for 4–6 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Step 5: Serve
Let cool slightly before serving. Serve hot.
