My Famous Chicken Spaghetti That Everyone Loves
This classic chicken spaghetti is creamy, comforting, and packed with flavor. It’s the kind of dish that disappears fast at family dinners,
potlucks, and gatherings and everyone always asks for the recipe.
Ingredients
-
2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
-
3 cups dry spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
-
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
-
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
-
1/4 cup green pepper, finely diced
-
1/4 cup onion, finely diced
-
1 jar (4 oz) diced pimentos, drained
-
2 cups reserved chicken broth (from cooking the chicken)
-
1 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
-
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions
1. Cook the chicken
In a large pot, boil the chicken in water seasoned with salt until fully cooked. Remove the chicken, reserve 2 cups of the broth, and shred or
chop the meat. Set aside.
2. Cook the spaghetti
In the same pot of broth, add the broken spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain, reserving the cooking liquid if needed.
3. Prepare the sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, reserved chicken broth, seasoned salt, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Stir until smooth.
4. Combine ingredients
Add the cooked chicken, spaghetti, diced green pepper, onion, pimentos, and grated cheddar cheese to the sauce mixture. Stir well until
everything is evenly coated.
5. Bake the casserole
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Bake until bubbly
Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes, or until the casserole is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
7. Rest and serve
Let the chicken spaghetti rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. This helps it set and makes it easier to scoop.
Serving Tips
-
Serve with a simple green salad and garlic bread.
-
For extra creaminess, add a splash of milk or more broth before baking.
-
This dish freezes well and tastes even better the next day.
Rich, creamy, and full of comforting flavors, this chicken spaghetti truly earns its reputation as a crowd favorite.
