🌺 Beet & Hibiscus Agua Fresca

πŸ§ƒ Ingredients:

  • 1 large beet (raw or cooked)

  • ½ cup dried hibiscus flowers (jamaica)

  • 1.5 liters water

  • ½ cup sugar or honey (to taste)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • ½ cup chopped strawberries πŸ“

  • ½ cup pineapple cubes 🍍

  • ½ cup chopped apple 🍏

  • Ice, to taste


πŸ”ͺ Instructions:

1. Prepare the hibiscus infusion

  • Boil ½ liter of water and add the hibiscus flowers.

  • Simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it steep for 10 minutes.

  • Strain and set aside the liquid.

2. Blend the beet

  • Peel and chop the beet into small pieces.

  • Blend it with 1 cup of water until smooth.

  • Strain if you prefer a lighter texture.

3. Mix everything

  • In a large pitcher, combine the hibiscus infusion with the beet juice.

  • Add the remaining water, sugar or honey, and stir well.

  • Squeeze in the lemon juice to balance the flavors.

  • Add the strawberries, pineapple, and apple to the pitcher.

  • Add ice to your liking and let it rest for a few minutes so the fruits can soak up the flavor.

  • Serve chilled and enjoy!
