🍍 Sweet & Spicy Pineapple Shrimp

🧾 Ingredients

Main

  • 300g shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1 cup Pineapple, cut into chunks

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 onion, sliced


Sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tsp chili sauce (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ginger, minced

  • 50 ml water


Slurry (for thickening)

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp water


Extra

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish

1. Cook the Shrimp

  • Heat oil in a pan

  • Add shrimp, cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink

  • Remove and set aside


2. Stir-Fry Vegetables

  • In the same pan, sauté garlic & ginger

  • Add onion + bell pepper

  • Stir-fry 2–3 minutes


3. Add Pineapple

  • Toss in pineapple chunks

  • Cook briefly to release juices


4. Make Sauce

  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, ketchup, chili sauce, water

  • Stir well and bring to a simmer


5. Thicken

  • Add cornstarch slurry

  • Stir until sauce becomes glossy and thick


6. Combine

  • Return shrimp to pan

  • Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes


7. Serve

  • Garnish with herbs

  • Serve hot with rice or noodles
