Spicy Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 400 g chicken breast (cut into bite-size pieces)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


Vegetables

  • 1 cup green beans (trimmed)

  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (red/green, sliced)

  • 2–3 green onions (cut into 2-inch pieces)


Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar

  • 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste 🌢️)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ginger, minced

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for thickening)


Instructions

Step 1: Marinate Chicken

  • Mix chicken with:

    • Soy sauce

    • Cornstarch

    • Pepper

  • Let sit for 10–15 minutes


Step 2: Cook Chicken

  • Heat oil in a wok/pan over high heat

  • Stir-fry chicken until golden and cooked through

  • Remove and set aside


Step 3: Stir-Fry Vegetables

  • In same pan:

    • Add garlic + ginger

    • Add green beans and bell peppers

  • Stir-fry 2–3 minutes (keep them crisp!)


Step 4: Add Sauce

  • Mix all sauce ingredients

  • Pour into pan

  • Simmer until slightly thickened


Step 5: Combine

  • Return chicken to pan

  • Toss everything together

  • Cook another 2–3 minutes until glossy
