π Ingredients
Brownie Layer:
-
1 box brownie mix (plus required ingredients, such as eggs, oil, and water as per package instructions)
-
12 Oreo cookies, roughly broken into chunks
Cheesecake Layer:
-
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
-
β cup (65g) granulated sugar
-
1 large egg
-
½ tsp vanilla extract
-
6 Oreo cookies, crushed
π©π³ Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang on the sides for easy lifting later.
2. Make the Brownie Base
Prepare the brownie batter following the instructions on the box.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.
Gently press the broken Oreo chunks into the top of the brownie layer.
3. Mix the Cheesecake Layer
In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the crushed Oreos.
4. Assemble & Bake
Carefully spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, smoothing the top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is just set and the edges are lightly golden.
5. Cool & Chill
Allow bars to cool completely in the pan.
Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best results) to firm up before slicing.
