Marry Me Chicken and Ravioli
Description
Marry Me Chicken and Ravioli is a creamy, romantic-style comfort dish featuring tender pan-seared chicken simmered in a rich sun-dried
tomato Parmesan cream sauce, served over soft, pillowy ravioli. The name comes from its bold, irresistible flavor — creamy, savory, slightly
tangy, and deeply satisfying. Perfect for date night or an elevated family dinner.
Ingredients
For the Chicken
-
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 smaller cutlets)
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon paprika
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 tablespoon butter
For the Sauce
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil), sliced
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup chicken broth
-
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
Fresh basil or parsley, chopped
For the Ravioli
-
500 g (1 lb) cheese or spinach ravioli (fresh or frozen)
-
Salt for boiling water

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
-
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
-
Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
-
Lower heat slightly, add butter, and cook until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
-
Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Creamy Sauce
-
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
-
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
-
Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
-
Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
-
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
-
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
The sauce should be thick, creamy, and slightly tangy from the tomatoes.
Step 3: Cook the Ravioli
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
-
Cook ravioli according to package instructions (usually 3–5 minutes for fresh).
-
Drain gently and set aside.
Step 4: Combine
-
Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
-
Simmer for 3–4 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
-
Plate ravioli and spoon generous sauce over them.
-
Place chicken on top or alongside the ravioli.
-
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Serving Suggestions
-
Pair with roasted asparagus or a light green salad.
-
Serve with garlic bread to soak up the sauce.
-
A crisp white wine such as Chardonnay pairs well.
Tips
-
Pound chicken breasts slightly for even cooking.
-
Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
-
For extra richness, add 1 tablespoon cream cheese to the sauce.
-
If sauce becomes too thick, loosen with a splash of reserved pasta water.
Storage
-
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
-
Reheat gently over low heat, adding a splash of cream or broth to maintain texture.
Marry Me Chicken and Ravioli delivers creamy indulgence, savory depth, and comforting elegance — a dish that truly lives up to its name.
