
1–2 inches fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced thin or grated)
1 liter (4 cups) of water
Juice of ½ lemon (optional, for added detox boost and flavor)
A pinch of cinnamon (optional, helps regulate blood sugar)
Honey or stevia to taste (optional, if you're avoiding sugar)
1. Add the sliced or grated ginger to a pot with the water.
2. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and strain to remove the ginger pieces.
4. Add lemon juice or cinnamon if using.
5. Let it cool slightly and store in a glass container.
6. Drink warm or chilled throughout the day.
