Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these homemade waffles are stacked high and topped with rich chocolate ganache, chocolate chips, and fresh strawberries. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet dessert.

For the Waffles

2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

2 large eggs

1 ¾ cups (420 ml) milk

½ cup (115 g) melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache

1 cup (180 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream
For Toppings

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
-
¼ cup chocolate chips
-
Powdered sugar (optional)
-
Maple syrup (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Step 2: Cook the Waffles

Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it with cooking spray or butter.

Pour about ½–¾ cup batter into the waffle iron (depending on size).

Cook for 3–5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

Repeat with remaining batter.
Step 3: Make the Chocolate Ganache

Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until hot but not boiling.

Pour the hot cream over chocolate chips in a bowl.

Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.
Step 4: Assemble the Waffles

Stack the waffles on a serving plate.

Drizzle warm chocolate ganache over the stack.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
