Creamy Garlic Mushroom Chicken is built around the balance between seared chicken and a velvety mushroom cream sauce. When cooked properly, the chicken develops a golden crust that contrasts beautifully with the silky sauce.

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half horizontally
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
For the mushroom cream sauce
2 tablespoons butter
200 g mushrooms, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1 – Prepare the chicken
Pat the chicken breasts dry using paper towels. Slice them horizontally into thinner cutlets so they cook evenly. Season both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Step 2 – Heat the skillet
Place a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Allow the oil to heat until it begins to shimmer slightly.
Step 3 – Sear the chicken
Place the chicken cutlets into the skillet and cook for about 4–5 minutes on the first side until a golden crust forms.
Step 4 – Flip and finish cooking

Stir in grated parmesan cheese and black pepper. Continue simmering until the sauce becomes smooth and glossy.
Step 9 – Return the chicken
Place the chicken back into the skillet and spoon the mushroom cream sauce over the top.

Sprinkle fresh parsley over the chicken and serve while the sauce is warm and silky.
