Layered Chocolate & Vanilla Mousse Cups

Ingredients
For the Dark Chocolate Layer:

150g (5 oz) dark chocolate (60–70%)
-
1 cup heavy cream (divided)
-
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
For the Milk Chocolate Layer:
-
150g (5 oz) milk chocolate
-
1 cup heavy cream (divided)
For the Vanilla White Layer:
-
200g (7 oz) white chocolate
-
1 cup heavy cream (divided)
-
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For Garnish:
-
1 cup whipped cream
-
Fresh strawberries (halved)
-
Chocolate discs or curls
-
Sugar pearls (optional)
-
Fresh mint (optional)
Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dark Chocolate Layer

Melt dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave (30-second intervals).

Warm ½ cup cream until just hot (do not boil).
-
Pour warm cream into melted chocolate and stir until smooth.

Whip remaining ½ cup cream to soft peaks.
-
Gently fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture.
-
Divide evenly into serving cups (first layer).
-
Refrigerate 30–40 minutes until slightly set.
Step 2: Prepare the Milk Chocolate Layer

Repeat the same process using milk chocolate.

Carefully spoon over the set dark chocolate layer.
-
Chill again for 30–40 minutes.
Step 3: Prepare the White Vanilla Layer

Melt white chocolate.
-
Warm ½ cup cream and mix into melted chocolate.
-
Add vanilla extract.
-
Whip remaining cream and fold gently into mixture.
-
Spoon over the milk chocolate layer.
-
Refrigerate at least 2–3 hours until fully set.
Step 4: Decorate
-
Pipe whipped cream on top.
-
Add fresh strawberry halves.
-
Garnish with chocolate decorations and sugar pearls.
Tips for Perfect Layers

Chill between each layer to keep them clean and defined.
-
Use a spoon and pour gently to avoid mixing layers.
-
For extra stability, add ½ teaspoon gelatin to each layer (optional).
-
Keep refrigerated until serving.
