Garlic Butter Shrimp Stir-Fry with Vegetables

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 400 g (14 oz) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced


Vegetables

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • ½ zucchini, sliced (optional)

  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes


Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)


Garnish

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro

  • Sesame seeds (optional)

  • Lemon wedges


Instructions.

Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.

  2. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.


Step 2: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

  3. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.


Step 3: Sauté the Vegetables

  1. In the same pan, melt butter.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add onion, bell peppers, zucchini, and tomatoes.

  4. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.


Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Return shrimp to the pan.

  2. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes.

  3. Toss everything together and cook 1–2 more minutes.


Step 5: Serve

  1. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro.

  2. Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.

  3. Serve hot with steamed rice, noodles, or crusty bread.


Tips for Best Flavor

✔ Do not overcook shrimp — they cook very quickly.
✔ Use high heat for a good stir-fry flavor.
✔ Add a splash of white wine for restaurant-style taste.
✔ For extra richness, finish with a small cube of butter.
