
Chocolate Banana Dream Trifle

Ingredients
For the Chocolate Layer

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

60 g dark chocolate, melted and cooled
For the Banana Layer
-
3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
-
1 teaspoon lemon juice (to prevent browning)
For the Cream Layer
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Trifle Base
-
200 g chocolate cake, brownies, or chocolate cookies, cut into chunks
Optional Toppings

Chocolate shavings
-
Cocoa powder
-
Crushed cookies or nuts
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chocolate Cream
In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and cocoa powder until soft peaks form.
Gently fold in the melted dark chocolate until smooth. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Bananas
Toss the banana slices with lemon juice to slow oxidation and keep them fresh-looking.
3. Make the Vanilla Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft, fluffy peaks form.
4. Assemble the Trifle
In a glass trifle dish or individual cups, start with a layer of chocolate cake or brownie pieces.
Add a layer of banana slices, followed by a layer of chocolate cream.
Spoon over a layer of vanilla cream.
5. Repeat Layers
Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with vanilla cream on top.
6. Chill
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to blend and layers to set.
7. Serve
Garnish with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or crushed cookies before serving.
