Orange Honey Crepes

Orange Honey Crepes 

1. Crepe Batter

Ingredients

  • 125 g all-purpose flour (1 cup)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 300 ml milk (1¼ cups)

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until slightly foamy.

  2. Add milk and vanilla extract and mix well.

  3. Gradually add flour and salt, whisking until smooth and lump-free.

  4. Add melted butter and mix again.

  5. Let the batter rest for 20–30 minutes (this makes softer crepes).


2. Cooking the Crepes

  1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

  2. Lightly grease with butter.

  3. Pour about ¼ cup batter into the pan.

  4. Tilt the pan to spread the batter thinly.

  5. Cook about 1 minute until edges lift.

  6. Flip and cook the other side for 30 seconds.

  7. Repeat for all crepes.


3. Orange Honey Sauce

Ingredients

  • 120 ml fresh orange juice (½ cup)

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan combine:

    • orange juice

    • honey

    • sugar

  2. Cook on medium heat for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. Add butter and orange zest, stir until glossy.


4. Assemble

  1. Fold each crepe into triangles or rolls.

  2. Place on a plate.

  3. Pour warm orange honey sauce over the top.


5. Decoration (like the picture)

Add:

  • fresh orange pieces

  • mint leaves

  • extra honey drizzle

Optional toppings:

  • powdered sugar

  • whipped cream

  • vanilla ice cream


Tips for perfect crepes

  • Batter should be very smooth and thin.

  • Letting the batter rest improves texture.

  • Use low–medium heat to prevent burning.

  • The first crepe is often imperfect — this is normal.
