Ingredients

  • 2 sandwich buns, brioche rolls, or slices of bread

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 slices bacon or sausage patties

  • 1 slice cheddar, Swiss, or American cheese

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional additions: avocado slices, caramelized onions, spinach, or tomato

Instructions

1.  Cook the Bacon or Sausage

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook bacon or sausage until crispy and fully cooked.

Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.

2.  Toast the Bread

Slice buns in half and lightly toast in the skillet or toaster until golden. Set aside.

3.  Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Crack in the eggs and cook to your preference (fried or scrambled).

Season lightly with salt and pepper.

4.  Assemble the Sandwich

Place the cooked egg on the bottom half of the toasted bread.

Add cheese on top while the egg is hot so it melts slightly.

Layer with bacon or sausage and any optional toppings.
