Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Toast 🦐🧀

Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 300 g (10 oz) large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Toast Base

  • 1 baguette, sliced into thick pieces

  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

  • 1 garlic clove, grated

Cheese Topping

  • 150 g (1½ cups) shredded mozzarella

  • 30 g (¼ cup) grated Parmesan

1. Prepare garlic bread

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F.

  2. Mix softened butter with grated garlic.

  3. Spread on baguette slices and place on baking tray.

  4. Bake 5–7 minutes until lightly toasted.


2. Cook the shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper.

  3. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

  4. Add garlic and chili flakes; sauté 30 seconds.

  5. Add lemon juice and parsley, toss and remove from heat.


3. Assemble the toast

  1. Top toasted bread with mozzarella and Parmesan.

  2. Add cooked shrimp evenly on each slice.


4. Bake

Bake for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optional: broil 1–2 minutes for golden top.


5. Serve

Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot.


Tips

  • Use sourdough or ciabatta for extra crunch.

  • Add a drizzle of garlic butter before serving for richer flavor.

  • Great as appetizer or party snack.
