Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (or frozen French fries)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheddar–mozzarella blend)

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 2 green onions, finely sliced

  • Optional toppings: jalapeños, parsley, ranch dressing, or chili flakes

Instructions

1.  Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

If using fresh potatoes, cut them into fries, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

(If using frozen fries, bake according to package instructions.)

2.  Cook the Bacon

While the fries bake, cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp.

Transfer to paper towels, then crumble once cooled.

3.  Add Cheese and Bacon

Remove fries from the oven and sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.

Top with crumbled bacon.

Return to the oven for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

5.  Finish and Serve

Drizzle with sour cream or serve it on the side.

Garnish with sliced green onions and any optional toppings.

Serve immediately while hot and gooey.

Tips

  • For extra crunch, soak raw potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking.

  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella for a different flavor.

  • Add pulled chicken or chili for a heartier version.

Crispy fries, smoky bacon, and melted cheese come together in this indulgent comfort dish—perfect for sharing, game nights, or when

cravings hit hard.
