Mandarin Orange Cream Tiramisu

Ingredients (6–8 servings)

Base Layer

  • 200 g ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi) or sponge cake slices

  • ½ cup orange juice or mandarin syrup (for soaking)

Cream Filling

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Fruit Layer

  • 2 cups mandarin orange segments (fresh or canned, drained)

Topping

  • Cocoa powder for dusting

  • Extra mandarin segments

  • Dark chocolate shavings

  • Fresh mint leaves


Instructions

1. Prepare the Cream

  1. In a bowl beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  2. In another bowl mix:

    • mascarpone

    • powdered sugar

    • vanilla extract.

  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth.


2. Prepare the Base

  1. Quickly dip ladyfinger biscuits into orange juice.

  2. Arrange them in the bottom of a baking dish.


3. Layer the Dessert

  1. Spread a layer of mascarpone cream over the biscuits.

  2. Add a layer of mandarin orange segments.

  3. Repeat the layers:

    • biscuits

    • cream

    • mandarins.

Finish with a cream layer on top.


4. Chill

Refrigerate for 3–4 hours (or overnight) so the layers set.


5. Decorate

Before serving:

  • Dust with cocoa powder

  • Add mandarin segments

  • Sprinkle dark chocolate pieces

  • Garnish with mint leaves

  • Use canned mandarin oranges in syrup for sweeter flavor.

  • Add orange zest to the cream for stronger citrus aroma.

  • Chill overnight for the best texture.
